Jeb is an ordinary janitor working at the local public high school in Tuskegee, Alabama .He has no family, and lives in the toolshed on the football field. He is around 54 years old, has oily white skin, salt and pepper hair, and is often wearing his uniform. One day when he was mowing the football field, he saw a young black girl walking on the field. Jeb was a pretty descent guy, and he didn't like the idea of slavery, but he never thought of speaking up. So, he decided to talk to Her. her name was Rosa, and she was a very active listener. he would tell her all of his life stories, and she would often ask questions, which made Jeb feel like he had a voice. One day, Rosa went up to him, fuming, and she told him about how kids were bullying her for being black, and she was not allowed to fight back. She was very stubborn, and she was 100 percent into her ideas of what is right. When she finally graduated high school, she told Jeb she was going to become a famous civil rights activist, and she wanted to know if Jeb would be with her, just like he was whenever she was bullied for her race. now Jeb must decide to go with the flow, or go wiht the crowd?
just kidding. my new story is about a janitor named Jeb, who loives in alabama. one day, while he was cleaning the floors in the school, he ran into a young slave girl who was in the corner crying. he went up to her, because he did not agree with segregation but is not strong enough to stand up, and asked her what happened. she tells hom about how her master sold her brother and now wants to sell her, so she ran away. if she goes back, she will probably get whipped, or even killed. jeb decides that a little girl should not be punished like that, so he lets her stay in the school with him. he learns to like her very much, the stories she tells and the way she makes the best of things. one day, she asks him if he wants to run away with her. now jeb must decide if he wants to run away with her and swim against the current, or go with the flow.

ReplyDeleteI like how you made Jeb sound realistic, because back then not everyone agreed with slavery. I also like how you said that the girl is afraid to go back because she will get whipped which is true when slavery was going on.
There were also multiple mistakes you did. Remember that you should capitalize the first letter of every sentence. Loves and him is spelled incorrectly.
One question I have is, what do you mean by swim against the current, or go with the flow?
Overall, your story interested me a lot, and reminds me of the biography of Sojourner Truth.
